Deus ex Machina

Katrina Valle & Selma Hreggviðsdóttir

Deus ex Machina wants to consider how voices are shaped by the interaction of physical buildings, place making and politics surrounding us. The intention is to investigate how people perceive and calibrate value in our built environment – from memories to the appearance of brick. Civic Room is a stage set in which a script and score develops into a series of live operatic performances and an installation, questioning notions of gender and poetry in architecture.

Performance in collaboration with Oscar Prentice-Middleton and Rose Strachniewska.
